3-D Projects were exhibition designers and curators for a travelling exhibition that commemorates the first official crossing of the Blue Mountains in 1813 by Blaxland, Lawson and Wentworth. The undulating surface of the display structure was inspired by the form of an unfolded explorers map which provides a playful visual reference to the exhibition's subject. The giant exhibition map is supported on 8 independent plywood display structures that can be readily disassembled, moved and reassembled at various exhibition venues.
